Infront toolbar and right-click menu in Excel

When the add-in is loaded in Excel, a tab called Infront appears in the menu bar.



Click this tab to show the Infront toolbar, which is the starting point for all add-in functions.

The Infront toolbar has the following commands:

  • Connection: enter here your account credentials to allow the add-in to connect to the Infront Analytics platform; to avoid entering your password multiple times, you can click the Advanced Settings link and check the Save Password option in the Options dialog.
  • Refresh Workbook: refresh all Infront Analytics data tables in either the active workbook or the active worksheet.
  • Quick Report: create a new Quick Report from scratch.
  • Time Series: create a new Time Series from scratch.
  • Download List: download the constituents of a personal list, a market index, or a predefined list of comparable companies.
  • Model Library: access our library of pre-built Excel models.
  • Function INFGET(): insert or edit the INFGET() function from the dedicated panel.
  • Recalculate Formula: recalculate all formula in the active workbook.
  • Restart Engine: cancel pending data updates and restart the add-in when it does not seem to respond.
  • Options: view and edit add-in options such as preferences for Excel startup or connection mode.
  • Help Center: access Help Center articles, contact Infront Analytics support, check the latest release notes, or check your add-in version, installation path and get the latest add-in updates.

 

Infront options in right-click menu 

Some additional options appear in the right-click menu:

  • Company Code Lookup: convert a company name/ISIN code/ticker into a Company Code (Infront Analytics company identifier).
  • Upload List of Companiesupload to the web a new personal list from a list of Company Codes in Excel.
  • New INFGET()insert the INFGET() function from the dedicated panel 
  • Edit Function: edit an INFGET() function that has been inserted in the sheet 
  • Audit Function: get the audit trail on the INFGET() function that has been inserted in the sheet 
  • Field Picker: get the list of all available field items for the INFGET() function and pick the one you need
