Error when trying to refresh an Excel model or connect to the Infront Analytics Engine

If you have updated the Infront Excel add-in to the version 2.10049, you might encounter a connection bug.



Symptoms

  • You try to refresh your Quick Report or Time Series, and you receive the following error message: 5711 Server return should be a two columns array !
  • You keep on being asked to log in, even though you entered your login and password


Solution

In the add-in ribbon, click Options icon (1), then navigate to Advanced tab (2). In Root URL field (3), enter https://www.infrontanalytics.com/Eurofin/


Then, click Ok and make sure you restart the Infront Analytics Engine to apply the modification. To do so, click the Restart Engine icon in the ribbon:


If you can’t access the Options window

If the Infront Excel add-in does not respond, follow the steps below:

  • Quit Excel and quit the Infront Excel add-in
  • Open an Explorer window and search for the folder Infinancials 2.0 (usually located in C: > Users > username > AppData > Roaming)
  • In the subfolder Engine search for the file “EfConfig.dat” and open it with Notepad (right click on it > Open with > select Notepad)
  • In Root URL, type https://www.infrontanalytics.com/Eurofin/
  • Save the file and close it
